Elite Overview
From the editors of Elite Meetings
With inspiring views of the UT Tower and Texas State Capitol, this IACC- certified meeting facility and hotel in downtown Austin occupies a prime spot at the southern entrance of the University of Texas. Known as the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center, it features 40,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space, 297 deluxe guest rooms and suites, and an engaging atmosphere for relaxing and socializing with colleagues.
The 37 conference rooms range from a flexible 1,100-seat ballroom to a 300-seat multimedia amphitheater, breakout rooms, and tiered and traditional classrooms. The Center comes outfitted with the latest technology to enrich communications and learning throughout. Complimentary wireless Internet access is located throughout the property, from the meeting rooms to the lobbies, restaurants, accommodations, courtyard, and pool deck.
The center treats groups from across the globe to a world-class standard of hospitality, while simultaneously imparting a sense of place and practicing sustainability. Much of the LEED Gold–certified hotel’s furniture and woodwork was crafted from pecan trees removed during construction, and native plants, including live oaks, make up 75 percent of the landscaping. Art from the University of Texas’s School of Fine Art and photography from historical archives line the hallways. The restaurant names—The Carillon (named for the UT Tower bells), Gabriel’s, and Café 125—further honor the university’s heritage. Attentive conferees may even note the lyrics to “The Eyes of Texas” woven into the ballroom’s 10,000-square-foot custom carpet.
